PushMed® Plug is self-expandable, cylindrical device made from a nitinol wire mesh. Polyester fabric membrane is securely sewn to waist to increase occlusion. The device is visible under X-rays..


PushMed® Plug can be used for a wide variety of occlusions of veins or arteries. Reducing or eliminating blood flow to an area of the body by blocking. Plug can be used for patients with clinical symptoms of abnormal blood vessels, such as:

  • Aortopulmonary collaterals
  • Arteriovenous malformation
  • Surgical aortopulmonary shunts
  • Anomalous venovenous connections
  • Arteriovenous fistulas
  • Peripheral vessels


PushMed®Plug is contraindicated for the following:

  1. 1. Patients abnormal blood vessels, but without any significant hemodynamic alteration
  2. 2. Sepsis (local/generalized);
  3. 3.History of repeated pulmonary infection;
  4. 4. Any type of serious infection < 1 month prior to procedure;
  5. 5. Malignancy where life expectancy is < 3 years;
  6. 6. Demonstrated intra-cardiac thrombi on echocardiography;
  7. 7. Inability to obtain informed consent
